As a Diamond Open Access venue, we charge no fees to authors or readers, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder the dissemination of high-quality scientific research.

  • ISSN (Print): 2224-2007
  • ISSN (Online): 2707-7365
  • Publisher: Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Dhaka, Bangladesh

Aims and Scope

The primary mission of MIJST is to provide an elite global platform for the dissemination of research that bridges the gap between theoretical exploration and real-world technical application. We prioritize research that addresses academic curiosity while providing scalable solutions for industrial growth and sustainable development.

Core Focus Areas

  • Original Research & Computational Modeling: Studies advancing scientific understanding through empirical data and rigorous mathematical modeling.
  • Interdisciplinary Engineering: Research at the intersection of fields such as Mechatronics, Environmental Engineering, and Biomedical Sciences.
  • Technological & Practical Utility: Applied research offering tangible solutions for infrastructure and industrial optimization.
  • Sustainability & Global Impact: Trends in Renewable Energy, Climate-Resilient Infrastructure, and Green Technology.
  • Frontier Technologies: Advancements in AI, Cyber Security, Nanotechnology, and Robotics.

Editorial & Ethical Standards

MIJST strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and maintains rigorous quality control measures.

Peer Review Process

To ensure the highest academic integrity, MIJST employs an External Double-Blind Peer Review process.

  • Authors must remove all identifying information from the manuscript for the review stage.
  • Each manuscript is evaluated by independent subject matter experts.

Plagiarism Policy

All submissions undergo a mandatory screening via Turnitin.

  • Threshold: MIJST accepts a similarity report of 20% or below.
  • Manuscripts exceeding this limit or showing evidence of ethical misconduct will be rejected.

Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing

Diamond Open Access

MIJST provides immediate, permanent, and free access to its content worldwide.

  • No Article Processing Charges (APC): Free.
  • No Submission Fees: Free.
  • No Publication Fees: Free.

Copyright & Licensing

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

  • Author Rights: Authors retain the copyright to their work.
  • Journal Rights: Authors grant MIJST an exclusive license for the first publication.
  • Self-Archiving: Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive the final "Version of Record" in institutional repositories (e.g., DSpace@MIST) provided a link to the original DOI is included.

Digital Preservation

To ensure the permanent availability of scholarly research, MIJST utilizes a multi-layered archiving strategy:

  1. Portico: Content is preserved in the Portico "dark archive" to remain accessible in the event the journal ceases publication.
  2. DSpace@MIST: Every "Version of Record" is deposited into the MIST Institutional Repository for localized digital preservation.
  3. Crossref (DOI): Every article is assigned a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent linkability.

Subject Areas & Article Types

MIJST welcomes original research across major branches of engineering and applied sciences:

  • Engineering: Aerospace, Civil, CSE, EECE, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Nuclear, and Petroleum/Mining.
  • Sciences: Applied Physics, Chemistry, Nano Science, and Mathematics/Data Science.
  • Planning & Design: Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning.

Manuscript Categories

  • Regular Papers: Original, unpublished research.
  • Review Articles: Syntheses of existing literature (typically by invitation).
  • Technical Notes/Short Communications: Brief reports on innovative methodologies or preliminary findings.
